The project's overall goal is to develop and promote key competencies and knowledge base for the e-Inclusion Group in DART regarding the accessibility and usability of multifunctional and universal mobile devices (UMDs). The expansion of lab facilities for testing and evaluation of ICT accessibility and usability is also part of the plans.
Other objectives:
- White paper describing state of the art, technologies and crucial challenges in the field of UMDs.
- Usability study and evaluation of device interfaces on existing UMDs, such as smartphones
- Definition of requirements for accessible and user friendly interfaces on UMDs
- NR's contribution
- NR conducts all necessary parts of the project.
- Benefit for society
- The project will lead to publicly available publications about experience gained concerning the status of user interfaces on mobile devices and problematic areas. We also aim at sharing new knowledge about the requirements to the universal design of applications.
