This paper surveys international trade agreements and agricultural policies since the 1930s with impact on trade in grains.
A magnetopolarity stratigraphy for the Middle to Upper Jurassic Tarbert and Heather formations is established with the objective of providing background information for a comparison between core derived magnetopolarity and in situ magnetopolarity stratigraphy gathered during the 30/9-14 GHMT borehole test. The results show thatthe magnetic susceptibility log r eflects stratigraphic changes in lithology, and hence the log may be used for sequence stratigraphic subdivision of the reservoir interval. In the upper part of the Tarbert formationseveral high NRM intensity zones are encountered. These zones appear to be related to transgressive events, and are therefore of sequence stratigraphic importance as marker horizons.M agnetomineralogic studies indicate that the remanent magnetization ofthe core sequence is carried by diagenetically formed magnetic minerals suggesting that the magnetization is a combination of chemical remanent magnetization and detrital remanent magnetization. The final palaeomagnetic results show that a number of magne tozones can be established, and these may be used in a future chronostratigraphic correlation of the reservoir interval.
