The research areas are statistical modeling, machine learning and ICT. We are always open for new assignments, and we wish to look at issues that are important to our customers.

NR is one of Europe’s largest environments in applied statistics. Our main applications are finance / insurance, earth observation, climate and environment, health, management, image analysis and petroleum. Within ICT, information security, universal design and smart information systems are the main areas.

Our office at Kristen Nygaard’s house at the University of Oslo houses approximately 90 employees, and the majority of researchers have a doctorate. NR’s subject areas are methodology, and we work closely with many other research environments, in addition to the business community and the public sector.
