Developing a national framework for data management and AI in remote care
- Department DART
- Fields involved Information and communication technology, Digital security
- Industries involved Health
We are outlining requirements for a national research initiative aimed at managing health-related datasets and developing AI applications for remote care.
Our objective is to outline requirements for a national research project aimed at implementing a comprehensive framework, research methodology, and digital system for managing extensive health-related datasets. Additionally, the project plans to develop human-guided AI applications for remote care and preventative healthcare.
We are also focused on:
- Smart healthcare: Assessing various sources of health-related data, AI technologies, and privacy-preserving technologies from both private and public sectors. Our assessment will inform the development of human-guided AI applications for remote- and preventative care.
- Advancing data collection: Creating new methods to improve data collection processes and further research into ecosystem dynamics and human-machine interaction.
- Methodological development: Developing a methodology that incorporates applied learning, gamification, and mixed-method research design to create human-guided AI applications.
The Human-GAIDE framework will enable secure and unprecedented access to health-related data, facilitating real-time information exchange between digital systems and diverse users such as medical researchers, healthcare authorities, data scientists, eHealth platform providers, healthcare professionals, patients and relatives, caretakers, and other stakeholders.
