Geomodelling

NR has been a significant contributor to advanced statistical and mathematical modelling for the oil and gas industry since the mid-1980s.

Geomodels are a useful tool for decision support in all situations where geology is an important factor. Our models are widely used in the oil and gas industry, and also in geothermal and groundwater modeling. By integrating geological knowledge with data in a statistical model, we get a realistic description of the geology and the uncertainty in it.
