Preliminary ideas on a simulation approach to risk assessment of a train timetable

In this note we analyse the various stochastics components that play a role in a complex railroad network. We describe a simulation based approach to assessment of the risk of delays and stability of a given timetable. The main methodological keywords are correlations, simulated likelihood, discrete event simulation, space-time analysis, propagation on a network, scenario simulation.
